Peru to send 160 peacekeepers to Haiti – Andina

Peru will send some 160 members of the infantry company as part of the new contingent of blue helmet peacekeepers to the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (Minustah).

The contingent will be offered a farewell ceremony to be presided by Gen. Hernan Flores Ayala, Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Peruvian Armed Forces.

The delegation is made up of 85 members from the Army, 35 from the Navy and 40 from the Air Force, who will support Uruguayan Armed Forces deployed to the UN Minustah. via Andina
