U.N. officials are encouraging Haiti to hold transparent and inclusive elections as they praise the government for trying to stabilize the country’s political situation.
The U.N. Stabilization Mission in Haiti said in a statement issued Saturday that officials supported the appointment of new Prime Minister Evans Paul as well as the swearing in of a new provisional electoral council. via – Yahoo News.
