Haiti has sworn in a new prime minister as President Michel Martelly prepares to announce the makeup of a consensus government.
Political veteran Evans Paul, who was in the moderate opposition to Martelly before becoming his No. 2 official, was formally installed late Friday.
Martelly began ruling by decree this week when Parliament was dissolved because terms of its members had expired. Haiti has been unable to hold new elections because a stalemate between Martelly and a group of opposition lawmakers blocked legislation to allow voting. via – Yahoo News
