The Haitian prime minister who resigned under pressure over the weekend says the country has made significant progress even as the political standoff that led to his ouster continues. Laurent Lamothe says he is proud of his 31-month tenure as prime minister. Lamothe said in an interview Monday with The Associated Press that Haiti is attracting more foreign investment and school enrollment has increased. He also notes that most of the encampments of displaced people that sprung up following the January 2010 earthquake are now gone. via – Yahoo News.
