The Haitian government guaranteed that in less than a month they will begin a program to provide birth certificates, passports and an identification card to their citizens who reside illegally in the Dominican Republic at a cost of RD$2,500 each.This information was provided during a press conference by the Haitian ambassador Fritz Cineas and the Minister for Haitians Living Overseas, Francois Guillaume II, after holding a meeting with the representatives of the Haitian community in the country to whom they explained the plan.According to the Minister for Haitians Living Overseas, Francois Guillaume II, the program will begin to be function simultaneously in all of the Haitian consulates in the country, but that it will start initially in Santo Domingo and Barahona and the extend to the other provinces.
