Ready, set, eat! It’s Caribbean Restaurant Week in New York – NY Daily News

Powered by the scrumptious status of Caribbean cuisine and hordes of local foodies, the first Caribbean Restaurant Week New York will take place June 22-28, with more than 30 establishments in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan presenting special offers.

The West Indian American Day Carnival Association — presenters of the famous Labor Day Carnival — and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to bring roti, jerk and stewed meats, veggie dishes, fish, Caribbean beverages and other savory treats to New Yorkers.

“New York City is rich in Caribbean history and culture, and we look forward to supporting and promoting Caribbean restaurants in our area,” said WIADCA President William Howard, one of VIPs who attended a kickoff for Caribbean Restaurant Week hosted in Brooklyn at “D’Savannah Bar and Lounge.via – NY Daily News
