Promoting Bioscience Education in Haiti

If Haiti wants to become an emerging economy by 2030, it will need to focus on education, particularly in areas like math and science.

That’s the driving force behind the Haitian Bioscience Initiative, which looks to train young Haitians in “basic scientific laboratory techniques.”

The initiative, which is a partnership between educators, academics and professionals, is working to teach techniques like environmental monitoring, wet chemistry, microbiological testing and molecular biology. via Caribbean Journal
