Jamaica ease past Haiti – Sports – Jamaica Gleaner

Lee-Fatt, whose two goals gave Jamaica victory in their first match of the championship on Monday against El Salvador, scored in the eighth minute while Jessica Johnson was on target in the 53rd and 62nd minutes as Jamaica booked a semi-final berth. In the earlier game, Mexico drubbed El Salvador 7-0 with a four-goal first half burst. The Mexicans took the lead through Jaqueline Garcia in the 16th minute then doubled the lead in the 21st with Garcia striking her second. She would add a third to complete her hat-trick in the 53rd minute.

Cinthia Huerta in the 32nd minute and a double strike from Janae Gonzalez in the 27th and 52nd minutes completed the rout for Mexico.

But in the feature match, it was the home team Jamaica that gave the crowd at the Montego Bay Stadium some fine entertainment, as they completely dominated Haiti in cruising to a deserved win, with Lee-Fatt, Shaw left back Deneisha Blackwood leading the way for the Under-17 girls, who will bring their exciting brand of football to the semi-finals next week. via – Jamaica Gleaner
