President Michel Martelly met Wednesday with former President Jean Bertrand Aristide at his home in Tabarre for a meeting of about 60 minutes, according to a source close to Dr. Aristide.
No information was leaked as to the purpose or content of discussions according to the Haiti Press Network. Throughout history, and especially in the past year, the two had, in somewhat subtle fashion, expressed their distaste for each other.
Martelly continues to claim his administration has done more than his predecessors while Aristide has pointed out the numerous injustices and violations of the Constitution and human rights taking place under the Martelly administration. In reaction, Martelly recalled many of the state security that were protecting Aristide. via Haiti
