Haiti and Mexico Mull Creation of Joint Chamber of Commerce

That’s the idea put forth by Haiti Ambassador to Mexico Guy Lamothe, who is looking to increase trade ties between the two countries that straddle the Caribbean Sea.

Lamothe attended a business conference in the Mexican state of Michoacan, where he proposed the chamber of commerce idea and signed a framework agreement with the Mexican Council for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise.

The latter is viewed as a way to help support the creation of the chamber of commerce.

He said that Michoacan in particular, the home to a large university, could be the scene of expanded Haitian-Mexican cooperation. via Caribbean Journal
