Massive operation repatriates more than 350 sugarcane workers from D.R.

The massive repatriation of the Haitian workers occurred at 10:30 am on Thursday May 23 and was attended by representatives of the Directorate General of Immigration, National Army and the Consulate of Haiti in Barahona.

Haitian workers were transported in 7 buses from various sugar mills to Malpasse and were left at the Haitian Customs office there, the Jano Siksè Border Network said in a press release.

“Hundreds of men, women and some children were left in the area customs offices of the neighboring country without telling Haitian migration and with only a few small belongings,” says the RFJS. via Defend Haiti..
